Feel Fabulous with the Finest In Indonesian Massage and Spa Treatments at Puri Ayu

Located in the heart of the Ampang Point commercial district, Puri Ayu Day Spa and Beauty Centre is a refuge for the stressed-out mind, body and soul. Here you’ll have the chance to indulge in Indonesian massage therapies that will leave you feeling absolutely divine. With a wide range of services such as facials, cream baths, manicures, pedicures and massages, there’s something for everyone.

Puan Sri Utama Dewi, managing director of this Martha Tilaar beauty centre relates to The Expat how she came up with the wonderful idea of bringing the beauty centre to Malaysia during her travels to the enigmatic island of Bali. She aims to deliver the same kind of affordable spas in Bali over to this country. “I’m glad to say that at Puri Ayu, our services here are reasonably priced to cater for the middle income group. Most people think of spas as an expensive indulgence, but this doesn’t necessarily have to be the case,” she explains.

Puri Ayu offers a variety of spa treatments such as Relief, Sensual, Whitening, Body Contour, and Reviving; all using Martha Tilaar’s renowned Dewi Sri Spa range. You can expect to have a hydrophil, body scrub, shower, steam, body massage, body mask, herbal bath, body lotion and finally, to complete the pampering experience, you’ll enjoy a delightful hot ginger tea drink.

During my visit to Puri Ayu, I had the pleasure of therapist Triani Hadi Prayitno attending to me. Triani and her fellow therapists are all trained in the Puspita school in Jakarta, and thus, you can be assured of the high standard of service that Martha Tilaar is noted for. My Relief spa treatment began with a scrub containing nutmeg and neroli which instilled a sense of peace while the accumulated dead skin cells and dirt were brushed off me. After a quick shower, it was time for a body steam to remove unwanted toxins whilst opening up my pores to prepare for the massage. Then came my favourite bit of the spa treatment – the massage. Triani stroked, squeezed and kneaded my muscles into submission. It was pure heaven. This was followed by a body mask and then she led me to a candle-lit flower petal bath, where I soaked and let my tension melt away. And to complete the whole experience, a rich body lotion is applied to nurture and nourish my skin. I can’t remember the last time my skin felt this velvety soft and smooth. Thank you, Triani!

Apart from the traditional Indonesian massage, one can also opt for the aromatherapy massages, Chinese acupuncture, back and shoulder massage for a uniquely relaxing, cleansing and invigorating experience. As skincare and cosmetic brands such as Sari Ayu, Biokos, Caring Colours, Profesional Artists Comestics (PAC), Mirabella and Bella are all found at Puri Ayu, it won’t take you long to decide on a product that meets your specific age and needs.
