Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Spearheading efforts in spreading the global message of environmental sustainability, the Eco School Council of Sri KDU International School (SKIS) organised its Eco School Day. During this annual event, students from SKIS and Dignity set up food stalls offering a variety of delicious meals that included Korean delicacies, refreshments, and produce from the garden project. The main attraction was the afternoon carnival, where there was a dance sketch to illustrate the environmental damage inflicted by wildlife poachers, highlighting the plight and predicament of sharks, tigers, and turtles. Certain species from each of these groups already face endangerment or extinction. Reef Check Malaysia and WWF-Malaysia made presentations about its conservation work to preserve the coral reefs in Malaysia, which are currently under serious threat from climate change and environmental degradation.
