We are proud of our students for achieving outstanding results in the recent (I)GCSE and A Level examinations. Our Year 13 students achieved excellent A level results with over 90 A* and A grades awarded. Sixteen students achieved all straight A*/A grades, with two students achieving 4A*, one student achieving 3A* 1A, one achieving 2A* 2As, five achieving 2A* 1A, four achieving 1A* 2As and two achieving 3 straight A grades. With an exceptional pass rate of 99%, these results contribute to the school’s consistently high three year rolling average of 73% of grades in the highest A*-B level bands.

Many excellent university places have also been secured in the UK and worldwide, with three students obtaining places at Cambridge, one at Yale, and one at Brown. This year, our Year 11 students attained the highest recorded achievement at Alice Smith, with 71% of all results awarded at grades A* – A.With these exceptional results the school’s consistently high three year rolling average increases to 66% of grades in the highest A*- A level bands.

Ivy Tam was overjoyed with her results, as our highest achieving (I)GCSE student, obtaining 12 A*s this year and an additional A* when in Year 9, as well as Sanjif Shanmugavelu, who didn’t expect to achieve 3A* 1A at A Level. Sanjif will be studying Mathematics and Physics at The University of Warwick, and is one of the Alice Smith School’s scholarship recipients in 2015.
