School snaps: Dignity and SKIS art exhibition

Sri KDU International School (SKIS) held an art showcase as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for its chosen charity, the Dignity for Children Foundation. Fine quality art pieces, produced by students of SKIS and Dignity School as well as by staff of SKIS and Sekolah Sri KDU were displayed for sale to parents, guests, and visitors.

During the exhibition, the Parent Focus Group of SKIS organized a ‘Designer Bag’ lucky dip sale which was very popular and sold out in minutes. Another booth manned by Korean mothers was selling delicious food and handicraft items. Some stalls run by Dignity and SKIS teachers included: Rhino Art exhibition; Art canvas paintings and portrait commissions; Framed prints and street photography; Musical performance, poetry recital, comedy sketch and drama skits. Many talented students and staff provided some light entertainment, too. This successful event managed to raise funds totaling RM25,000.
