For the seventh year running, the Alice Smith School is proud to have awarded three bright and deserving post-SPM Malaysian students full scholarships, enabling them to pursue their A Level studies. The scholarships were presented by Chair and Vice Chair of the Council of Governors, Charles Lim and Marama Schnitker, witnessed by families of the scholars and the senior school staff. During the scholarship reception, scholars and their family were all smiles as Head of School, Roger Schultz and Secondary Campus Principal, Sarah Howling warmly welcomed them.

Scholar Lee Zhi Wei, an avid chess player from Chong Hwa Independent High School, KL plans to head to the UK after A Levels to further his studies in Maths and Physics. ZhiWei shared, “I applied for the scholarship to study A Levels because it requires a considerable amount of independent in-depth study. I particularly look forward to the extended project and the enrichment programme as I’ll have the opportunity to conduct my own projects and participate in intriguing activities.”

A confident, outgoing and cheerful person, scholar Alex Gan adds, “This scholarship can help meet my education financial needs as my mom has been working very hard to support me so far. Being a responsible student, I always try to perform my best in terms of academic and co-curricular activities and show good conduct, too. I’m very grateful to be awarded this scholarship.”

Scholar Joshua Liang whose favourite subjects are Chemistry and Maths said, “Alice Smith’s 70 years of history and dedicated staff can help nurture and shape me to achieve my maximum potential. With strong faith, I will in future make a mark and add to your list of outstanding alumni.”
