R.E.A.L International School, Johor Bahru Campus recently welcomed a group of 12 students from South Korea earlier this year for a four week student exchange programme dubbed ‘Fun Learning and Cultural Exchange 2018’.

The programme provided the Koreans with an opportunity to experience a different learning environment and Malaysia’s melting pot of cultures. A ‘buddy’ was assigned to each Korean student throughout their stay. Joining their buddies in daily class lessons, the visitors from abroad learned English, basic Malay, and Mandarin. They also participated in several Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) and other school events.

The relatively short but memorable stay culminated in a graduation ceremony during which the Korean students received certificates. They joined their hosts in entertaining the audience with various song and dance performances. Cultural exchange programmes such as this form part and parcel of R.E.A.L Schools’ curriculum which aims to promote cultural diversity and awareness among students.
