Johanna Leahy has been an expat for 21 years, four of which she has spent in Malaysia. Originally an R&D engineer in the medical devices industry, she has been writing for newspapers and magazines since 2001, and blogging since 2006. In 2011, aged 40, she took up running and now combines her twin passions, writing and running, in her blog www.expatrunner.com.
