Malaysia to Implement Automated Enforcement System

“The new Automated Enforcement System (AES) will soon be implemented nationwide starting 12 August 2012,” says Deputy Transport Minister, Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri.

The AES is a high-technology camera that will be used in detecting traffic offenders. This includes offenders who beat red lights and exceed the speed limit.

According to The Sun Daily, the AES will be installed at 560 accident prone area and 265 traffic light junctions.
