What happens when you are the owner of Virgin Atlantic and you lose a bet with AirAsia’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes? You end up in a skirt!
The famous wager between Tony Fernandes and Richard Branson was made in 2009. Branson challenged Fernandes’s Lotus F1 team to beat his Virgin Racing group at the 2010 Formula 1 Championship. The loser of the bet would have to serve as a stewardess on the winner’s airline. Well, unfortunately for Branson, he lost the bet.
Branson was supposed to carry out the bet in 2011, but it was postponed due to a knee injury.
But, true to his word, Branson dressed up in AirAsia’s female flight attendant uniform, complete with red pumps, red lips, false lashes and fishnet stockings! An all-dolled up Branson carried out his bet by serving the passengers on flight D7 237 on AirAsia X from Perth to Kuala Lumpur last weekend.
