In an effort to increase their global awareness, Garuda Indonesia has signed a partnership agreement with Liverpool Football Club on 3 September 2012, at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England.
This partnership will help support the airline’s global marketing communications strategy to build Garuda Indonesia’s brand recognition, particularly at the international level.
Founded in 1892 Liverpool FC has an illustrious history, and a large enthusiatic fan base in Indonesia and Asia Pacific.
In addition, Garuda Indonesia will be given access to the club’s tens of millions of fans through Liverpool FC’s official Facebook account.
As part of this agreement, Garuda Indonesia will be the “Official Airline” of Liverpool FC. The airline will also be able to have brand communications posted during every match played by Liverpool FC at Anfield Stadium and broadcast on Liverpool FC TV internationally.
