“Melaka has plans to hold a year-long international cultural festival”, Bernama reports. The international cultural festival will involve several countries. According to Bernama, the festival will be ‘the’ new tourist attraction to Melaka.
Countries with a diplomatic mission in Malaysia will be invited by the state government to promote their respective culture and arts through this festival.
“Perhaps each country can hold its cultural festival for a week, thus Melaka will have an international cultural programme throughout the year which can attract more tourists to the state”, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam to Bernama.
