Stallone is back in his usual action role, and this time he plays a hit man who teams up with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of New Orleans.
The unlikely duo are brought together by two vicious murders that involve them in one way or another, and must take on all who stand in their way, as well as sacrifice everything to exact revenge.
