What brought you to Malaysia?
My husband’s work brought us to KL and we have been here for four years now.
What do you like or dislike about the country?
I love the people, food, nature and wildlife. I dislike the traffic.
Name three typical weekend activities you enjoy most.
I like cycling in my local area, or participating in various races and fun rides around Malaysia. I also enjoy taking trips to explore wildlife, and hanging out with friends.
What is your favourite holiday destination here? Why?
We like Ruby’s Resort in Cherating because we can bring our German Shepherd there. We also love Koh Lipe in Thailand, and Vietnam.
What advice do you have for newly arrived expats?
Give back! Get involved in your community.
How long do you think you will live in Malaysia? Where will you go next?
We are not entirely sure how long we’ll be here so we are taking it year-by-year. I would love to go to South America next.
Tell us about a memorable experience you have had here thus far.
Anytime I eat nasi kerabu and when our local friends take us to the food haven that is Penang!
Is Malaysia a good place to raise children? Why?
Malaysia is a great place for children to experience cultural diversity, travel, and explore nature!
What do you miss most about your home country?
I miss my family the most.
