You could have been forgiven for thinking that you had been transported to the Middle East, Europe, or Texas at the recent SIS International Day & Charity Food Fair at Straits International School in Penang. Staff and students clubbed together to produce a range of delicious foods from their own countries.

Although it was a delight to taste the food and see the exotic costumes, the event also had a serious side in that RM5000 was raised for the charity RumahCharis. The Straits International School has an emphasis on social service and a winning way of bringing all nationalities together to appreciate each other’s cultures.
