The owner of the largest hypermarket chain in the Middle East, the Lulu Group, is set to open its first outlet in Malaysia, in June 2015 through Felda (Federal Land Development Authority).

The new outlet will be in Kuala Lumpur, and, within the next two years, five more outlets will open in Kota Baru, Bukit Katil in Malacca, Ipoh, Nilai and Shah Alam.

The Lulu hypermarket chain has 109 branches in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt and India.
