The Mah Sing Group was formed in 1965 and built its business in manufacturing plastics – which it continues to do – before deciding in 1994 to branch out into property developments.

Their first lifestyle project was completed in 2000 – Sri Pulai Perdana in Johor – but they now currently have 35 projects throughout Malaysia, covering a whole variety of prices and needs. They also develop more commercial projects, such as commercial centres and modern industrial lots.

One of the company’s strong developments is the Legenda series, which started with Damansara Legenda before being followed by One Legenda in Cheras and Legendea@Southbay in Penang. They also appeal to the higher-end of the market with their exclusive Residence series, but have a whole range of projects to cater for the medium-end of the market too.

Mah Sing’s various projects cover many sought-after areas of Malaysia including Mont Kiara, Ampang, Petaling Jaya, Cyber Jaya and Johor Bahru, while one of their latest and most impressive projects is Southbay City in Penang where the company is transforming a 34.5-acre site into a township complete with residential facilities, office space, retail outlets, a hotel and resort as well as various recreational facilities.

Alongside continuing to develop properties within Malaysia, the Mah Sing Group are hoping to expand their property business into the region.

The company has a good track record, is well-established and has picked up various awards including being named ‘Best Developer, Overall’ at the Euromoney Real Estate Awards in 2009 and collecting four awards at the Asia Pacific International Property Awards in 2010.

As well as their successful plastic business, the group has a charity arm called the Mah Sing Foundation that supports a whole range of charitable organisations within Malaysia.

They have an informative website at www.mahsinggroup.com.my where there is plenty of information on their 35 developments and they also have a page on Facebook: www.facebook.com/mahsing
