The Expat Group has a position open in the editorial department for its print publications. We are currently seeking a talented individual with excellent writing and organizational skills to join our team in a mid-level editorial role. The position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as well as the ability to source and write quality content for our publications to a high standard of English, along with some subediting responsibilities. Previous journalism experience, particularly working to deadlines, is a plus.

The ideal applicant will have a good knowledge of Malaysia and be well-versed in the local scene, including knowledge of holidays, festivals, cultural and current events, foods, personalities, and other local matters. The ability to comfortably meet and interview high-level people from time to time is expected, as well. We generally work a standard Monday-Friday workweek with very reasonable hours. Having your own transportation is a benefit, but is not strictly required. Preference given to local Malaysian applicants, especially those who have studied or worked abroad, but expats may be considered as well. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
