Penang will host the state’s first Hot Air Balloon Festival on the 21^st and 22^nd of February.

The event will take place at Padang Polo and will feature 15 hot air balloons in various shapes. Look out for the Trump, Dart Vader and Humpty Dumpty.

According to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, the state is planning on making this an annual event to attract more tourists to the state.

“The number of tourists coming here dropped a little in December compared with last year. Not only Penang, but other states also experienced the same situation. So, I hope this programme will help increase the number of tourists coming to this state,” the minister said.
