According to a report in Bernama, clinical tests are being carried out on several types of dengue vaccines. This is done by the private sector to test the effectiveness of the vaccines.
According to deputy health minister Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya, “in the efforts to produce dengue vaccines, the Health Ministry through the Institute for Medical Research (IMR) was carrying out research on the development of the vaccine.”
