For a change of pace, the recent Expat Mingle was held in Petaling Jaya at the popular Stratosphere at The Roof venue atop 1 First Avenue in Bandar Utama. The venue comprises five distinct outlets, and the Mingle was at the highest of them all, the open rooftop of the building. From some 30 storeys up, the views were outstanding
in every direction. Many turned up to enjoy the grassy expanse atop the tower, and the venue’s large size gave everyone more than enough elbow room. Cold Tiger beer flowed freely and Terrazas Malbec and Chardonnay were provided by Stratosphere at the Roof for minglers choosing the add-on wine option. Plenty of food was available, too… mushroom and tomato bruschetta, seafood tartlets, pollo aglio, kyuri bonito, and more, all complemented by sweet treats like lemon meringue tarts, eclairs, and cream puffs. The great atmosphere and comfortable evening weather saw many Minglers lingering and enjoying themselves quite late!
Of course, lucky draw prizes got everyone into the fun, and winners walked away with a range of F&B vouchers to area restaurants, tickets to both Sunway Lagoon and Berjaya Theme Park, vouchers for massages at Pialla Wellness, bottles of wine, and a 2D/1N bed and breakfast stay for two at Jen Hotel up in Penang.
