The River Of Life project is nowhere near “almost complete”. The River Of Life Project (ROL) is 56% completed, according to a report in Bernama. Work on the project, which is part of the Greater Kuala Lumpur Project, started in 2011.

According to Natural Resources and Environment Minsiter, Datuk Seri G. Palanivel, the ROL project aimed at changing the image of Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang.

The ROL project focuses on three aspects; cleaning the river, beautifying the river and land development.

“The project involves 26 government agencies, the private sector and consultants. We hope it will proceed smoothly until its completion in 2020,” said the minister.
