Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Debate season is in full swing in the US now that we’re a little over a month away from one of the most important decisions a country will ever make, the presidential election. In this case, the United States will have to choose between former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, or businessman and TV personality, Donald Trump.

This year, both candidates have agreed on three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate. On Monday night in the US, 26th September (which was Tuesday morning in Malaysia), Clinton and Trump went head to head in their first debate which was broadcast live both in and outside the US.

If you missed it, we’re here to help you figure out how to watch the next three debates, in October. Here are a substantial list of places online where you can catch the debates live if you’re not in the US (or if you’re in the US but not subscribed to cable TV).

1. Facebook

Many networks will stream the debates live on Facebook, which means all you have to do is go to the relevant Facebook page and the live steam should be the first post on their wall. The pages you can go to for this are:

2. Twitter

Twitter has partnered up with Bloomberg TV to stream the debates live on their site with an in-screen Twitter feed, so you can commiserate with fellow spectators as you watch. This option will be best for those who feel the need to share their thoughts and opinions as the debates progress.

Catch the Twitter live stream at debates.twitter.com. Don’t forget to use the hashtags #debates which, in a Tweet, will be accompanied with an automatically generated emoji of a red, white, and blue podium.

3. Youtube

As the biggest online video platform in the world, it’s no surprise many networks are tapping into YouTube’s Live Video feature to stream the debates. You can watch the debates live on any of the following YouTube channels:

4. News websites

If you’d like your debate to be accompanied with live analysis, updates, opinions, or tracking, you can check out one of these websites instead:
