School Snaps: SKIS Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Bronze Camp

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Students from Sri KDU International School challenged themselves physically and mentally to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Bronze International Awards. The Adventurous Journey to Cameron Highlands gave them an opportunity to show resilience and resourcefulness as well as develop leadership skills. The 2017 Silver group camped for two nights and hiked up Gunung Berembun. Meanwhile, the Bronze group trekked uphill to enjoy the beautiful scenery overlooking the Boh Tea plantation. They visited the local orang asli settlements surrounded by the dense rainforest. The students learned the spirit of teamwork during their respective camping trips; they also showed great perseverance in the face of difficult weather conditions.
