Mystical and alluring, edible crystals are trendier than ever, especially on cakes. Simply dubbed ‘geode cakes’, this workshop taught participants how to create their very own Marble geode cake. Hosted by Cakesgram and Co. Studio, the fees included all baking utensils and materials, lunch, and some light refreshments seeing as the class was from 12 to 6pm. The basic cake base was prepared beforehand, so students could jump right into making the marble fondant skin and covering the cake body with it. Then, the lesson progressed to making the crystal sugar and fitting it into the cake. Each student brought their own six-inch single-layered geode cake home.
