A series of chartered flights is only the beginning of the collaboration between Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), and Kompas Tour Operator, a main tour operator in Central Asia.
Connecting Almaty, Kazakhstan and Langkawi, Malaysia; tourists will be joining a nine-day long tour of the island to places of interest. Local delicacies are also a main focus in this package.

Malaysia welcomed over 12,000 tourists from Kazakhstan in 2017, and hopes to keep this channel open to promote worldwide connectivity and Malaysia as a major tourism destination.
