In January, you’ll hopefully find most of Garden International School’s students with their noses buried in books! The school’s annual ‘Big Read’ sees hundreds of children from ages 3 to 18 read as many books as they can within one month, with all proceeds donated to our local JREC centre. The GIS Big Read promotes a love of reading amongst all members of the school community, with visiting authors, artists and special book-related events also helping to promote a love of literacy. The event also raises muchneeded funds for JREC, a local refugee education centre. Join us in reading and change lives one book at a time!
