Dates Announced for Malaysia 13th General Election

The dates for the 13th general election was announced this morning by the Election Commission Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz, Mohd Yusof.

Polling for the 13th general election is set to be on 5th May and the nomination of candidates is on 20th April.

Malaysia’s Parliament was dissolved on 3rd April by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Voters in Sarawak will not be electing a new state assembly though, as the current state assembly still has another three years to finish mandate after the polls in 2011.
