P1 AquaX (pronounced as Aqua Cross), the fastest growing personal watercraft championship, in the world makes its debut in Malaysia. The Personal Watercraft (PWC) championship is designed to bridge the gap between recreational and competitive riding.

Malaysia has been selected as the Asian Hub for the international powerboat franchise, P1. The race will be divided into two categories, Enduro or Sprint, and is then further split into Professional or Amateur based on ability. Upon completing the series successfully, participating riders are entitled to be listed in the “World Riders Ranking” to win trophies and prize money of more than RM 142k up for grabs.

The championship was launched in the UK in May 2011 by London based sport promoter, Powerboat P1 Management Ltd, and later on rolled out a second series in USA in 2013.
