
Malaysia’s Datuk Lee Chong Wei, World No.1 in badminton, won the Denmark Open men’s singles title at Odense, Denmark last night. Chong Wei who described his win as the perfect birthday gift was ecstatic upon winning the title against World No.9, Du Pengyu from China.
Chong Wei who celebrated his 30th birthday on Sunday ended the game with the scores 15-21, 21-12, and 21-19.
For his prize, he received a trophy and USD30, 000 (RM91, 500).
