Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Tiger Woods is in Malaysia! The golf super star is here in Kuala Lumpur to play at the CIMB Classic 2012 (25-28 October 2012), and was seen playing a round of golf with the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak at the Mines Resort and Golf Club yesterday.

Despite the hot sun, fans showed up to catch a glimpse of their favourite golfer.

For those who are unaware, Wood’s mother is actually from Thailand. “People sometimes forget that my mom was born here, in Asia, so to me Asia does feel like home. I’m very used to the culture, it’s how I was raised”, he said in a comment to the New Straits Times.

The CIMB Classic takes place today 25 October and ends on Sunday, 28 October. Besides Woods, one can also catch Bo Van Pelt and Ben Crane, among others, at the Mines Resort & Golf Club. The golfers will be competing for a total purse of USD6.1 million.
