Floods and Bad Weather = Festive Traffic Jam

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The year-end holiday season is drawing near, and, according to PLUS Berhad, a total of 1.5 million vehicles are expected to be on the road. Traffic will definitely be extra slow because of the amount of vehicles on the road, and also because of the bad weather and flooding.

According to the New Straits Times, the Malaysian Meteorological Department have already released a statement saying that the weather will be unpredictable with thunderstorms and heavy rains.

For those who are planning on travelling from now till 1 January 2013, it is advisable to follow the Travel Time Advisory set by PLUS.

Those heading into the Klang Valley are advised to begin their journey before 11am or after 8pm, while those using other roads should travel between 11am to 8pm.

Vehicles with odd number plates using the Johor Second Link Causeway are advised to use the highway at odd hours, while those with even number plates should start at even hours.
