Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Petronas, has been bestowed The Oil & Gas Year Malaysia 2013, Man of the Year Award, Bernama wrote in an article.

Tan Sri Shamsul, who is the only president and CEO of Petronas to be re-appointed for a second term, feels that the award is like a timely reminder of Petronas’ achievement over the last three years.

"Within this period, we have affectively reinvigorated and brought the excitement back to Malaysia's oil and gas industry,” he told Bernama.

"This will not only ensure long term energy sustainability for the nation, but also create a galvanising effect on investments in the midstream and downstream, as well as for services providers."
