Special Fares on Malaysia Airlines for General Elections

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will be offering special fares for Malaysians who have to fly back to their hometowns to vote on 5 May for the 13th General Elections (GE13).

For those who are interested, bookings for Business and Economy seats can be made from now until 28 April. This is for travel from 18 April to 30 November 2013.

The all-inclusive return Economy fare from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar, Penang, Terengganu, Kuantan, Kota Baharu, Johor Baharu and Langkawi starts from RM130. The all-inclusive return Business fares for the above mentioned places are from RM713.

All-inclusive return Economy and Business fares from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Tawau, Miri, Sibu, Sandakan, Bintulu and Kuching go for as low as RM300 and RM1,713 respectively.

Malaysians flying Kuching to Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Bintulu or Sibu can purchase all-inclusive Economy tickets from as low as RM76 and from RM1,513 for Business class tickets.

Flights from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, Labuan and Sandakan start from RM136 for the all-inclusive return fare on Economy and from RM1,713 on Business class.

Those who booked their flights between 27 April and 12 May and want to defer their travel for the GE13 can do so without having to pay the penalty fee. They can extend their travel period up till 31 July 2013.
