RapidKL recently celebrated its 10th anniversary by launching a mobile application, RapidKL Travel Planner, which will help passengers to plan their journey, as they will be able to get updates on RapidKL rail and bus services.

The mobile application also provides information on the frequency of service, operating hours, travel instructions and a fare calculator as well.

RapidKL has a ridership of 550,000 currently. This number is expected to double with the extensions of the Ampang and Kelana Jaya LRT lines, due to be completed by October next year.

Also, based on the data from Imperial College London’s Railway and Transport Strategy Centre (RTSC), RapidKL ranks as the fourth most reliable train operator in the Nova Group of Metros. The Nova Group of Metros comprise of 16 medium-sized rail operators from major cities like the Dockland Light Railway London and Sydney Trains.

The RapidKL Travel Planner is available for download on iOS and Android devices.
