The Penang Public Library Corporation (PPAPP) is appealing to all those who have borrowed books from the library and failed to return them, to do so soon.
According to Bernama, PPAPP has been losing millions of ringgit due to the apathy of readers who had borrowed books from the library but have not returned them.
Apparently, about 17,047 books and reading materials borrowed from the library since 2006 have not been returned. And the numbers continue to increase each year.
