Tesla Model S and BMW M5

There are a lot of mixed opinions about the Tesla Model S; however, it’s certainly pioneering the way for electric cars.  Tesla’s electric cars stand to serve as a real alternative to gas powered automobiles. Furthermore, Tesla’s power for speed is truly impressive for an electric car.

In October 2012, Automobile Magazine compared the Tesla Model S to the BMW M5 in a drag race.  Below is a video showing this race. While it does seem that the Tesla Model S may have had a hairline head start, you can see that the BMW M5 utterly failed to catch up.

Who says electric cars are slow?
