Australian International School Wins At World Scholar’s Cup

The Australian International School (AISM) walked away with 56 awards at the World Scholar’s Cup Malaysia Round!

Held in KDU College, the World Scholar’s Cup is an academic competition where students compete in teams of three, in four different events; essay writing, debating, multiple choice questions and team quiz.

AISM walked away with 56 awards including for Best Team in both the Junior and Senior divisions. The school had to compete with 220 other students, from more than 25 of the best schools across Malaysia. In total, AISM won 17 Gold medals, nine Silver medals, 10 Bronze medals and 19 other medals. There were also individual medals given out to students for coming up tops in subjects such as Art, Current Affairs, Literature, Post-modern Metropolis and Science.

After four years of participating in the competition, the school has exceeded expectations and will be competing in the World Scholar’s Cup Finals which will be held from 21-24 June 2012, in Bangkok, Thailand.
