Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In line with the school’s Lasallian education roots and philosophy, St. Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (Tropicana PJ Campus) Year 10 students participated in a Service Learning Project in Bongkud, Sabah from 10 – 15 December 2017.

They were accompanied by SJIIM’s High School teachers, Mr Cairns and Ms Walton, while there and were engaged in some very important service projects such as the painting of a new kindergarten for the children of the community and the laying of cement for a new volleyball court.

Through this trip, students also learned about the local culture and languages. It was undoubtedly hard, physical work but the students had a fantastic time and demonstrated their Lasallian spirit throughout.
