Japan Street Market in Kuala Lumpur

Tourist, locals and expats (Japanese expats especially) will be able to experience the Shimokita Creative Street Market, Japan’s famous creative street market, at Pavilion KL’s Tokyo Street.

The street market will feature independent artists with the best handmade products from stationaries to fabric dolls, jewelleries, bags and so on. All of these products will be displayed in over 50 stalls.

The 50 participating artists (displaying their products) includes Pupurin, Oh & Ah, Pocotee, Lozl, Bremen Wong and more. Besides the stalls, there will also be interactive workshops for kids and adults. Visitors can also learn the art of origami, get a temporary airbrushed tattoo, experiment with sand art, and sculpt a wax hand and more.

This first-of-its-kind creative market is named after the famous Shimokitazawa district in Tokyo, renowned for its creative energy as the center for theater, live music, art bazaars and youth culture.

 The street market takes place at Pavilion KL’s Tokyo Street (Level6) from 9-10 June, 11am to 8pm.
