Many expats enjoy shooting for both sport and fun back in their home countries, and are not aware that there is an indoor shooting range right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur where they can practice and hone their skills. City Square Shooting Gallery is the only indoor handgun shooting range in Malaysia, and shooting enthusiasts are sure to be satisfied by this amazing facility.
Established since 2004, City Square Shooting Gallery moved to its present location on Jalan Segambut near the Putra World Trade Centre in August 2010. “This shooting range caters to all kinds of shooters – sports, recreational, and technical as well as those individuals who carry guns for protection,” says shooting instructor Kelvin Lee.
City Square Shooting Gallery offers two separate ranges: a “static range” where shooters can shoot standing still from four separate booths at stationary targets up to 15 meters away and an “open range” where shooters can move about freely and practice shooting in various scenarios such as a simulated home invasion.
City Square Shooting Gallery also boasts a wide assortment of handguns and other shooting equipment, all of which is available for rental on the premises. The knowledgeable and friendly staff members are willing and able to assist anyone of 18 years and above – whether you are an aficionado or a beginner – who wants to get involved in the sport or who just wants to learn to shoot for fun or protection.
Safety is the first and highest priority for the instructors at City Square Shooting Gallery, and each shooter must receive an extensive safety briefing before commencing shooting.
Expats who would like to learn to shoot or to practice and improve their shooting skills should bring their passports to City Square Shooting Gallery as they will have to register and undergo a simple background check before being allowed to shoot.
Whether your “aim” is to shoot for sport, recreation or self-defense, head to City Square Shooting Gallery, where you are guaranteed to have a blast!
