“TalentCorp Malaysia Berhad will work with more firms in order to attract and retain high-quality talent in the country,” the Sun Daily reports.

At an event held by JobStreet.com on Human Resource Networking, TalentCorp’s CEO, Johan Mahmood Merican, announced that the company will be working closely with JobStreet, by undertaking more programmes for University students, graduates and women.

According to Johan, it is important for the public and private sectors to work together to address the talent requirements of the country. This is the only way for Malaysia to surface as a global talent destination by 2020.

TalentCorp plans on working closely with JobStreet on an internship programme to encourage graduates to get better internships. Together with JobStreet, TalentCorp also plans on collaborating with the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry, on an outreach programme to encourage women to go back to work. This portal will be launched in September.
