Earthquake Hits Sumatra, Tremors Felt in Malaysia

A strong earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale, hit the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 8.27am today, 25 July, Bernama reports.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, tremors were felt in the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.

However, there are no reports of tsunami threats.
