Royal Selangor’s Visitor Centre recently unveiled its newly refurbished retail store. The store which receives an average of 250,000 visitors a year has now expanded its retail space to 9490 square feet.

In line with the refurbishment, Royal Selangor has also introduced a new activity to the centre; Apprentice Pewtersmithing Workshop. This fun activity allows visitors to indulge in a hands-on experience where they can make their own jewellery.

This workshop, which will have visitors making their own pewter accessories with methods that are used today at the Royal Selangor factory, will cost RM150, for a 90-minute session. Throughout the workshop, participants will be guided through the processes of casting, polishing and decorating by an instructor.

“We have hosted visitors like lifestyle guru Martha Stewart and IMF chief Christine Lagarde here at the Visitor Centre,” says Chen Tien Yue, Executive Director of Royal Selangor Marketing, who looks forward to welcoming more Malaysians to this award-winning centre.

The Royal Selangor Visitor Centre is open daily from 9am-5pm. Click here for more information.
