Be wary of imposters posing as Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) staff, says a statement released by TNB. This follows a recent robbery committed by two men who posed as TNB personnel to enter a victim’s home in Johor Bahru recently.
These imposters are sneaky enough to gain your permission before entering your home. They do this by showing a TNB identification card, to gain your trust.
Bear in mind that all TNB personnel carrying out duties will be wearing the company’s red t-shirt with the TNB logo. They will also be wearing a blue jacket with a red embroidered TNB logo, bearing the name of the personnel. Do not allow anyone in, if they do not dress in the required uniform as stated.
If unsure, or faced with suspicious individuals claiming to be TNB staff, immediately place a call to your nearest TNB office, or call the police. Check out their website to locate a TNB office near you.
Have you been approached by any suspicious characters posing as TNB staff, the gasman and others?
