Extended Hours for Monorail and LRT Services

For two consecutive nights; 30th and 31st August, RapidKL will be extending operating hours for both the LRT and Monorail, in conjunction with the 55th Merdeka Day celebration.

In a statement made to the Star newspaper, RapidKL said that there would also be free rides for all users attending the Merdeka Day gathering, “Perhimpunan 55 Tahun Merdeka, Janji Ditepati” at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday.

In conjunction with the Merdeka eve celebration today, operating hours for LRT to selected stations and Monorail services to all stations will be extended to 1am the next day. The stations involved are Bandaraya, Masjid Jamek, Hang Tuah, Titiwangsa, Kelana Jaya, KL Sentral, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi and KLCC.

LRT operating hours on 31 August would also be extended to 1am for the Bukit Jalil Station. The last RapidKL bus will leave the stations involved at 1.30am.

For the free LRT ride to Bukit Jalil on Friday, one can collect tokens from 4pm at all LRT and Monorail stations, and for the trip back, the tokens can be collected from the Bukit Jalil Station.
