Two Malaysian Ladies to Play at Next Month’s LPGA

Two Malaysian women will be taking part in next month’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. The LPGA is one of the longest-running women’s professional sports associations.

The two ladies earned their spots at the final qualifying round held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) on 5 September. They are; Aretha Pan Herng and Sarfina Vinota. Both ladies are excited that they made it through to the qualifying round and are looking forward to playing with some of the world’s best players.

The Sime Darby tournament next month will feature the top 62 players from the LPGA Tour and 10 invited sponsor. Among the famous names expected to play are Yani Tseng, Na Yeon Choi, Christie Kerr, Paula Creamer and many more.

The tournament which kicked off in 2010 will also see last year’s champion Na Yeon Choi from South Korea. Choi took home the prize money of US$285,000.
