After much anticipation, Malaysia’s first international theme park spanning, Legoland Malaysia, finally opens on 15 September 2012.
Thousands of visitors who visited the park on opening day got to enjoy all of Legoland’s 40 rides and attractions. The visitors, some of whom were fans, came as early as 7am to stand in line!
“Because Legoland Malaysia provides the most popular rides and attractions from Legoland Parks around the world, it is a truly world class experience,” says Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of Legoland Malaysia.
Strategically located at the heart of the Iskandar region, the theme park is accessible to both local and Singaporean residents, as well as international visitors. According to Boerst, Asia, Johor and Iskandar Malaysia is THE location to be in right now because it is a growing market, and Legoland’s location in Iskandar Malaysia is perfect!
“Johor and Iskandar Malaysia is a great location which can be reached by millions of people in Asia. Singapore and Johor is becoming a major entertainment hub in Asia,” he said.
Future plans are already in place for Legoland Malaysia to be the largest family destination resort in Southeast Asia with a Water Park and Hotel already under construction for opening in 2013 and 2014.
Legoland Malaysia is a family theme park designed for families with children aged 2 to 12 years old with more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions.
