H&M Opens in Malaysia

International fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz, or popularly known as H&M, has officially launched their first store in Malaysia at Lot 10 shopping mall, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

The launch took place on Saturday, 22 September 2012. Over a 1,500 people were spotted standing in line – some as early as the day before – to be the first few in line. Reason being the first person in line would receive a RM500 voucher to spend at the store. Over 300 customers also received vouchers worth RM50 for standing in line early. When the doors opened at 11am, there was no stopping the shopaholics from rifling through loads of t-shirts, jeans, dresses, accessories, shoes and more.

The first H&M concept store in Malaysia offers shoppers a wide selection of the latest fashion items, all at attractive prices. H&M is all about affordable fashion, so shoppers can definitely expect to shop without burning too much of a hole in their pocket. For instance, a funky t-shirt is priced as low as RM19.90.

Fans will definitely be thrilled at the range of fashion trends available for men, women and children. Besides clothes, H&M Malaysia also offers lingerie, shoes and accessories. The Swedish fashion retailer also carries the David Bechkam Bodywear collection which has underwear’s, t-shirts and long johns.
 
H&M made its debut in Malaysia with their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. The collection features sleek and sculptural silhouettes matched with bold shapes and confident decoration for women. For men, the designs were focused on sharp suits with 60s silhouette.  

It is also reported that a second H&M store will soon be opening at Setia City Mall in Shah Alam, most probably in a month’s time! The H&M store in Lot 10 is said to cover about 36,000 square feet with three levels of retail space.
