Sarawak’s coastal area is safe from Sonamu. Bernama reports that the tropical storm Sonamu has weakened, and is now classified as a tropical depression.

On the other hand, the yellow level Heavy Rains caution and Strong Winds warning remains as it is.

A category 3 strong winds warning for the waters of Condore, Reef North, Layang-layang and Palawan is also in force until this Sunday.

A category 2 strong winds warning has been issued for the coast areas of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, East Johor, Samui, Tioman, Sarawak, Labuan Federal Territory, Sabah (Interior, West Coast and Kudat), Reef South and Bunguran.
