Star Wars Art Director, Roger Christian, reportedly has his eye on Malaysia for a future project.

Apparently, the Art Director is interested in filming his upcoming zombie movie, Temple of the Undead, in Malaysia. He told Bernama that besides being rich in culture, Malaysia had some good spots for filming his movie.

According to Bernama, Roger is currently in Malaysia for a corporate film project with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to attract investors to Malaysia. Roger is working on the special effects and Computer-generated imagery (CGI).

Roger explained that his new upcoming movie will be entirely filmed and produced in Malaysia, and will have amazing visual effects, something similar to popular movies such as Sin City and 300. He says at the moment the movie is still in the writing and constructing process.

Although he has yet to finalise a cast, he did say that the movie will feature some local talents, and will be shot in different places in Malaysia.

Roger won an Oscar for his art direction for the first Star Wars movie (later renamed Episode IV: A New Hope) in 1977. He was also nominated for an Oscar for his work on the movie Alien. Roger was art director for the second unit on both Return of the Jedi and Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. He also worked on other feature films such as The Sender, Nostradamus, Underworld and Battlefield Earth.
